We picked up this 1976 nova from a friend of ours who had no time and desire for the project. This came to us with a good running 350 and an automatic that was leaking and needed a few seals. So mechanically it was very sound we then put all of our effort into paint body and interior. It had two $.50 piece size rust spots but it had 15 to 20,000 hail dents in it LOL. This car took a while in the block sanding and primer stages, But with a little effort I think it came out flawless, we used and indigo blue with heavy silver metallic which made the paint change into several different shades of blue black and purple. We then put two fat racing stripes down the center to accent and break up the body. The first swap me cars show we took it to we had a father-son walk up and by the end of the day bring back cash and drive the car home. This again was it very affordable restoration because we did not overspend or have a large budget to work with. The wheels and tires we're bought off of craigslist not spending a fortune, the interior all the door seals and some window tinting was all It needed to impress it's new owners.
